Shimla features a subtropical highland climate (Cwb) under the Köppen climate classification. The climate in Shimla is predominantly cool during winters, and moderately warm during summer. Temperatures typically range from −4 °C (25 °F) to 31 °C (88 °F) over the course of a year. The average temperature during summer is between 19 °C (66 °F) and 28 °C (82 °F), and between−1 °C (30 °F) and 10 °C (50 °F) in winter. Monthly precipitation varies between 15 millimetres (0.59 in) in November to 434 millimetres (17.1 in) in August. It is typically around 45 millimetres (1.8 in) per month during winter and spring and around 175 millimetres (6.9 in) in June as the monsoon approaches. The average total annual precipitation is 1,575 millimetres (62 in), which is much less than most other hill stations but still much heavier than on the plains. Snowfall in the region, which historically has taken place in the month of December, has lately (over the last fifteen years) been happening in January or early February every year.
FISHERIES MUSEUM

RAJIV GANDHI WATER SPORTS COMPLEX
This is the first of its kind in India that offers all possible aqua sports facilities including safe-water sports and adventure- water sports, under one water sports complex. In the safe-water sport complex, paddle-boats, row-boats, glass-bottom boats are available. In the adventure-water sport front, Jet-Ski, Para-sailing, etc are offered. The Marina Park nearby, also houses a memorial of the Battle of Aberdeen fought between the Britishers and Andamanese aboriginals in 1859.
Rajiv Gandhi Water Sport Complex is centrally located in the Port Blair It has a small harbour from where tourist boats depart for nearby islands, namely Ross Island, Viper Island, and North Bay (Coral Island).
Rajiv Gandhi Water Sport Complex offers all possible aqua-sport facilities like Water-skiing, Sail boats, Windsurfing, Speed Boats etc., and safe water sports like Paddle Boats, Row Boats etc. There is a sea water swimming pool and a change room. There is also a Memorial for the Battle of Aberdeen fought between Britishers and Andamanese aboriginals in 1859. Nearby is an Amusement Park with Pleasure rides and a children Traffic Park.
MADHUBAN
Madhuban in Andaman and Nicobar Islands also provides perfect background for trekking. Thousands of enthusiasts flock to Madhuban every year to trek. The pristine natural beauty of Madhuban with its variety of flora and fauna, the tropical climate of the place is just what the trekkers long for. The route from Mount Harriet to Madhuban is one of the famous route to the trekkers.
Madhuban (75 Kms. by road/20 Kms. by ferry and trek road from Port Blair). It is north east of South Andaman. One can visit Madhuban from Mount Harriet by trekking through the jungle approximately covering 16 Kms. Exotic endemic birds, animals, butterflies are interesting sights of the trek.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands is richly gifted with numerous sightseeing spots which include parks, historical monuments, lakes or wildlife. Andaman and Nicobar Islands Madhuban is a place which, in spite of its distance, is very popular among the tourists. It is located 75 kms from Port Blair by road and 20 kms if navigated by boat. But Madhuban of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is only 5 kms from Mount Harriet, yet another scintillating tourist spot of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Madhuban is a unique place because it is jeweled with an exotic beach in the front and guarded by green hills at the back.
Located in the north east direction of South Andaman Islands,Madhuban has a rich collection of birds like parakeet, swift, dove, hite bellied sea eagle, local teal, kingfisher, reef heron, wader, tern, and whistling teal. Colorful butterflies of Madhuban also stands for the variety that Nature has showered on Andaman and Nicobar Islands. But the elephants of Madhuban is something which has made the place so famous. Here, by the initiative of the Government of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, young elephants are trained to work at various farms. This reduces the manual labor and invariably increases the production rate.
Chidiya Tapu, Gandhi Park, Forest Museum, Marina Park, Samudrika Museum, Fisheries Museum are few more noted tourist spots that comprise the sightseeing in Port Blair.
SIPPIGHAT AGRICULTURAL FARM
Sippighat Farm of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is only 15 kms away from the capital city of Port Blair, on the way to Wandoor. The farm covers a vast stretch of about 80 acres of cultivated land. Sippighat Farm in Andaman and Nicobar Islands is run by the Government of the place and it is a part of the Research and development program. Experts in agriculture are appointed by the Administration who make maximum use of the tropical climate of the place and grow spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, pepper in Sippighat Farm. These spices are mostly exported to the Indian mainland or even to foreign markets. Sippighat Farm also grows tropical cash crops and coconut.
Covering over an area of 80 acres and located 14 Kms. west of Port Blair is a Government farm for cultivation of spices like cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, coconut and pepper etc. The Research and Demonstration farm of the Central Agricultural Research Institute (CARI) is nearby.
