Shining bright among the constellation of devotional poets and Singers is Annamacharya, whose songs of love for God are as alive as today as they were Six hundred years ago.
Tallapaka Annamacharya, born in 1408 A.D in the Village Tallapaka, Rajampeta Taluk, Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh. Annamacharya’s devotion to Lord Sri Venkateswara led him to compose in Telugu some of the most beautiful and delicate songs of devotion.
Sri Siddeswara Swamy Temple Tallapaka
Sri Siddeswara Swamy Temple Tallapaka is located 100 km from Tirupati and 4 km from Rajampeta. Tallapaka is the birth place of the great poet Sri Annamacharya (1408 – 1503) . According to legend this temple was constructed by Matti Raja and this is of 1000 years old Temple. To mark the birth place of Annamacharya, 108 ft (33 mt) tall statue of Annamayya was constructed.
Annamayya got enlightened by worshiping the two deities.
