Legend of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Pendlimarri

Lord Narasimha Swamy one of the incarnations of Lord Maha Vishnu, in which the Lord manifests in the form with the head of a Lion and the body of a man to kill the demon-king Hiranya Kashyapa. After killing the demon, couldn’t control his own wrath and like an unstoppable nuclear bomb, kept exploding, burning and destroying the universe till Shiva, the god of destruction, had to intervene at the request of the devas and stop Narasimha. This is place where they did pooja to control the anger of Narasimha Swamy.

Brahmamgari Matam Temple Kadapa

Brahmamgari Matham is a small village Kandimallayapalle which is located 60 km away from Kadapa town in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. It is the same place where Sri Potuluri Veerabrahmam – also known as the ‘Nostradamus of India’ stayed. He entered Jeeva Samadhi in the year 1693.

The Brahmamgari Matham Temple was constructed after Sri Veerabrahmam entered into his Samadhi. There is nothing architecturally remarkable about the matham as such, but it is certainly a picturesque place where one can get glance about the life, times and the future predictions by Sri Veerabrahmam.

The main places to see in Brahmamgari Matham are the Navaratana Mandapam, the Brahmamsagar Reservoir, Narayana Swamy Ashramam and a couple of temples.

NAVARATANA MANDAPAM

It is said that 500 years ago, Sri Veerabrahmendra Swami predicted that a temple would be built in Kandimallayapalle (Brahmamgari Mutt) in Kaliyuga before his arrival. Sri Patnala Sanyasi Rao, a businessman from Chennai, was destined to be the constructor of this temple at Brahmamgari Matham. The architectural style of this temple is termed as Navaratna, as nine temples are associated in one structure namely Sree Heramba Ganapathi Temple on South East corner, Manu Brahma (Shiva) temple with Adisakthi (Parvathi) is in the East, Maya Brahma (Vishnumurthi) with Parasakthi (Lakshmi) is in the South, Twastha Brahma (Chaturmukha Brahma) with Itcha Sakthi (Saraswathi) is to the West, Shilpi Brahma (Indra) with Kriyasakthi (Sachidevi) is at the North, Viswagna Brahma (Surya) with Gnanasakthi (Sanja Devi) is at Northeast, Vishwakarma (Veda Pitha) with Gayathri Deva (Veda Matha) is at the center, Venugopala Swamy temple at the Southwest, Sri Sanari Vishewswara Swamy at the northwest and 125 Gothra rishi idols are installed in the temple premises. Apart from that, a Veda Pathashala is also there in the temple premises.

Sri Parasu Rameswara Swamy Temple – Gudimallam Temple Tirupati

Gudimallam is a small village located in Srikalahasti Mandal, of the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is seven miles away from Renigunta Railway Junction of considerable significance. Though a small village, historically it is very important, because it has a beautiful Siva Temple which is popularly known as ” Sri Parasurameswara Temple”.Locals used to call as Gudimallam Temple Tirupati.

The main importance of the temple lies in the Linga which is housed in the Garbhagriha of the temple. This is supposed to be the earliest Linga discovered so far and it has been assigned to the 2nd or 1st century BC. The name of the temple is mentioned as Parasurameswara Temple in the inscriptions. These inscriptions do not refer to the original builders of the temple. But they register the gifts made to the temple like land, money and cows for the conduct of daily worship in the temple. The Black and Redware sherds of the 2nd or 3rd century AD have been brought to light during the course of excavations conducted in 1973. Potsherds of the Andhra Satavahana period (Circa 1st century AD to 2nd century AD) and large sized bricks measuring 42+21+6 cms. of the same period have also been found. Hence some historians assign the temple to the Satavahana period.

The temple called Parasurameswaraalayam is built on the banks of Suvaranamukhi river. There is a fascinating tale about this place. It runs-once there was a devotee by name Parasurameswara, who was worshipping Lord Siva regularly with exceptional ardor using flowers grown in his tank nearby. The flowers were odd in shape and colour

s-And grand to look at. The Lord was pleased and conferred bliss on him. Seeing this unseen, a demon one day ventured to pluck all the flowers and offered to Siva. Finding the transgression grievous, the pious Sivabhakta entered into a fierce boxing bout with the demon. When the vanquished demon was about to be crushed, Lord Siva appeared and blessed the both with their desire of Sayujyamukti – merging in Him

It`s a famous tourist temple .The Lord “PARASURAMESWARA DEVASTANAM”in 2 B.C and believed to be first indian temple. Within the temple premises there are other temples “SHANMUKA”with his two wifes “VALLI.”DEVASANA”,  “SURYABHAGAVAN” Temple and temple for “ANANDHAVALLI AMMAVARU”.
